URBANCACTUS




This "Urban Cactus " is a housing project designed by the UCX Architects for the Rotterdam Vestia Feijenoord / Estrade Projecten.

Mainly because of its strategic location at the end of a port area, the architects wanted to conceptualize the project as an element belonging "a vein green rather than try to s' attach to the surrounding urban structure.

The Urban Cactus contains 98 residential units spread over 19 floors .
Its distinctive aesthetic escape anyone: the building is defined by its outdoor spaces giving it a very unique identity.

On each floor, outdoor spaces have irregular shapes, it helps maximize areas of terraces and gardens in town so precious. Furthermore, this alternation of open space to create time to other areas of double height, each unit receives more natural light a "typical stacked composition.
